Privacy Policy

These apps collect no data about you. None. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no app here makes a network connection of its own. Several can hand a link to your browser when you tap one, which is described below. The one exception, AutoPilot, is a connected service and carries its own complete policy on its own page.

What is collected

Nothing. No personal information, no usage data, no device identifiers, no diagnostics, no location, no contacts. Not anonymously, not in aggregate, not at all.

What is stored, and where

It differs by app, and each app's own page below names exactly what that app writes. Broadly, the trainers remember how you have done — your place in a course, your best scores, or which topics you keep getting wrong — and the calculators remember nothing at all. Whatever it is, it is written to your device's own storage and nowhere else. It is never transmitted, because the apps contain no networking code capable of transmitting it.

Deleting an app deletes everything it stored. Most apps also have a control that clears it without deleting the app, and an app that stores more than one kind of thing may have more than one control. Each app's own page says which controls that app has, where they are, and what each one clears.

Third parties

There are none. The apps link no third-party SDKs, no analytics libraries, no advertising or attribution frameworks, and no crash reporters. Nobody receives anything about you from these apps, because nothing about you is sent anywhere — including when you tap a link and your browser opens somebody else's page.

Links out of the apps

Most of these apps have a More from AutoPilot screen listing the others in the family, and Airspace Trainer additionally links every rule it teaches to that rule's text in the eCFR, the US government's electronic Code of Federal Regulations. Tapping another app on the More screen shows its App Store page, either inside the app or in the App Store app, and that page is Apple's. Every other link, including Privacy Policy, Support, flywithautopilot.com and the eCFR links, opens in your browser in the ordinary way.

Nothing about you travels with any of these links: no identifier and no progress. Once a page is open, Apple or the site you are on has its own privacy practices, and they apply rather than this policy. No app here makes a network connection of its own, and none needs one to work: every one of them works fully in airplane mode, and only an App Store page needs a connection. Each app's own page says what it links to.

Children

Because nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children. These apps are safe for users of any age in this respect.

Your rights

Data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. Here that is straightforward: no personal data about you is held, so there is nothing to request. The only record of your use is whatever the app has stored on your own device, which is under your control and which you can clear or delete at any time.

Changes to this policy

If an app ever does start collecting something, that app's own page below will say so plainly and the change will be described here before the version that does it ships.

Per-app statements

The policy above covers every app marked “collects nothing”. Each has its own page confirming what it does specifically; an app marked otherwise is not covered by this policy and carries its own complete policy on its page:
