Private Pilot Ground School
This app collects no data about you and makes no network requests of its own. Nothing leaves your device.
What this app stores
Progress, in the app's private storage on your device (UserDefaults), readable only by this app. The developer never receives any of it.
- Which track you chose, Private or Commercial (stored as
groundschool.track.v1). - Today's 10 review cards and which you have answered (stored as
groundschool.review.v1). - Your review accuracy by topic, used to weight future cards (stored as
groundschool.review.stats.v1). - When the app last asked you for a rating: the app version that asked and the date it asked. The app asks only right after you pass a quiz, and these two records keep it from asking too often. They hold nothing else.
- Which Aircraft Stability lessons you finished (stored as
stability.lessons.v1). - Your best result on each Aircraft Stability flight mission (stored as
stability.fly.v1). - Which Constant Speed Prop lessons you finished (stored as
constantspeed.lessons.v1). - Your Pitot-Static chapters read, quiz scores and drill accuracy (the same record the earlier Pitot-Static Lab & Quiz app kept) (stored as
PitotStatic.progress.v1). - Which Airspace lessons and unit drills you finished (stored as
airspacetrainer.units.v1). - Your Airspace drill accuracy by topic (stored as
airspacetrainer.weakness.v1).
Deleting the app deletes all of these. If your device is backed up to your own iCloud or computer, this storage may be part of that backup under your own Apple account.
What this app does not do
- No account, sign-in, or email address
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising
- No third-party SDKs of any kind
- No network requests of its own
- No purchases or subscriptions
Device motion
The Aircraft Stability flight missions can be steered by tilting your device. The motion readings are used on screen while you fly and are never stored or sent.
Links out of the app
These open in Safari or the App Store only when you tap them: this privacy page, the eCFR page for a regulation cited in the Airspace module, and App Store pages for other apps by this developer. Those sites have their own policies.
The app itself sends nothing with any of these: no identifier, no progress, nothing about you.
Rating prompt
After a passing score the app may ask Apple's system to show its standard rating prompt. Apple controls whether it appears and does not tell the app what you answered.
Children
The app is a study aid for pilots and collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Not affiliated with the FAA
This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration. It is a study aid and is not for navigation or real flight planning.
