IFR Clearance Trainer
This app collects no data about you and makes no network connections of its own.
What this app stores
On your device only, and only two kinds of thing:
- How you have scored on each part of a clearance — route, altitude, frequency, squawk — so the drill can bring back the ones you keep missing. No name, no identifier, and no record of individual clearances.
- Your audio settings: which voice reads the clearance, how fast it reads, and whether the radio-static background is on.
Both are written to your device's own storage and nowhere else. Clear history on the Progress screen erases the scoring record; your voice and audio settings are preferences rather than history, so they stay until you change them. Deleting the app removes everything.
About the speech
The app reads clearances aloud using the voices already built into iOS. That is playback only. The app has no microphone access and no permission prompt, it never listens, and it records nothing — you copy the clearance by typing, exactly as you would copy it on paper.
What this app does not do
- No account, sign-in, or email address
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising
- No third-party SDKs of any kind
- No network requests — every clearance, airport and voice is inside the app or already on your phone, and it works fully in airplane mode
- No microphone, location, camera, contacts, photos or health access — the app has no permission prompt at all
- No purchases or subscriptions
Links to other apps
The More from AutoPilot screen lists the other apps in this family and links to the App Store and to flywithautopilot.com. Tapping one hands that link to your browser or to the App Store app. The app itself sends nothing: no identifier, no progress, nothing about you travels with that link. Once the page is open, that site's privacy practices apply rather than this one's.
Support
Questions, bugs, or a clearance you think the app has wrong: admin@flywithautopilot.com. Say which screen and which clearance, and include your device and iOS version.
IFR Clearance Trainer generates practice clearances so you can learn to copy CRAFT at the speed a real controller speaks. They are training material, not real ATC instructions and not tied to any real flight. Fly the clearance you are actually issued.
